The corrosiveness of seawater is the greatest challenge that seawater desalination faces. Valves are subjected to corrosion damage under the long-term erosion of seawater, resulting in reduced sealing performance. Valve damage will increase unnecessary purchasing expenses, and even worse, it is possible that the entire equipment may have to stop to overhaul and the cost of shutdown will be very high.
